One of the things that the current President did upon taking office in January was to throw open the gates at the southern border.
It has created HUGE problems...
Four months later and the current Administration still appears to be determined to ignore the problems they’ve created. We could talk about the security of the nation that is endangered by just letting anyone walk across the border to disappear into our country (as shown by people from around the world getting the message it’s far easier to jump the border than go through the process of getting a Visa or anything).
We could talk about the toll on people being brutalized by human traffickers and how criminal organizations are getting rich in the process or how smuggling of narcotics is also on the increase.
You would think that any responsible leader would take those factors into account but again, this Administration seems determined to stick their fingers in their ears, talk loudly and dodge any kind of questioning about their actions.
Here’s the big rub though...
For as much vitriol that was thrown the way of Donald Trump over the preceding four years regarding building walls and enforcing immigration laws, the nation was able to achieve records in employments for all sorts of groups. It’s actually no coincidence and it speaks to the fact that illegal immigration has as I’ve long said impacted the people at the bottom of the economic spectrum in this country more that anyone else.
Democrats really want to ignore that and if you question them about it well... you’re a RACIST!
Yet, here’s a jewel for you... the government is well and fully aware of this and better still, they are fully aware of just how much it impacts young Black men in our country!
Don’t believe me right? I mean this is just more me flapping my gums, of course.
Wrong!
HERE’S A GOVERNMENT REPORT DONE DURING THE OBAMA ADMINISTRATION! READ IT FOR YOURSELF BUT HERE ARE THE CONCLUSIONS:
Findings and Recommendation
Findings
- There has been a significant rise in U.S. immigration, both legal and illegal, over the past four decades. Experts at our briefing testified that immigrant workers now make up approximately one-seventh of the American workforce, and they estimated that illegal workers account for one-third of the total immigrants now in the U.S. [
- Illegal immigration to the United States in recent decades has tended to increase the supply of low-skilled, low-wage labor available in the U.S. labor market.
- About six in 10 adult black males have a high school diploma or less, and black men are disproportionately employed in the low-skilled labor market, where they are more likely to be in labor competition with immigrants.
- The average worker with a high school degree or less earns less today, adjusted for inflation, than someone with a similar education earned thirty-five years ago.
- Illegal immigration to the United States in recent decades has tended to depress both wages and employment rates for low-skilled American citizens, a disproportionate number of whom are black men. Expert economic opinions concerning the negative effects range from modest to significant. Those panelists that found modest effects overall nonetheless found significant effects in industry sectors such as meatpacking and construction.
- To be sure, factors other than illegal immigration contribute to black unemployment. The problem cannot be solved without solving the problems of the high school dropout rate, high rates of family instability, and low job-retention rates. Moreover, halting illegal immigration is not a panacea even for the problem of depressed wage rates for low-skilled jobs. If upward pressure is brought to bear on low-skilled wages, increasing globalization of the economy may result in some of these jobs simply being exported to other countries. Still, the effect of illegal immigration on the wages of low-skilled workers, who are disproportionately minority members, is a piece of the puzzle that must be considered by policymakers in formulating sound immigration policy.
The
Democratic party was and is the party of slavery. By turning a blind
eye to illegal immigration the people they hurt the most are the same
people they profess to care about but they’ll just pretend not to know. We’re not even going to talk about how the increase in homelessness also can be attributed to illegal immigration but to be clear this is something that is not going away and anyone who has a real concern for the poor in this country and embraces illegal immigration is nothing more than a hypocrite.
